Abloom Nurses












Hillary joined the Abloom Home Care team in March of 2024. She has worked in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care unit at a local magnet hospital and has experience as a medical information specialist with a pharmaceutical company. She was a certified medical assistant for a few years before becoming a registered nurse which allowed her to find her passion in healthcare. She is a Duke University graduate-Go Blue Devils! Her first degree was in public health and she did case investigation during COVID-19. She strives to advocate for the well-being of every individual, promote health education, and foster a healing environment that respects the dignity and diversity of all patients.

Nancy Mayer joined the Abloom Home Care team in October of 2024. She currently holds the title of Nurse Supervisor. Nancy has over 23 years of experience working in various areas of the medical field. She has held positions in pulmonary specialty units, has been a medical surgical nurse and has worked extensively in long-term acute care and rehabilitation. She obtained her nursing degree from Eastern New Mexico University Roswell.




Nancy has a passion for providing education to our staff and clients. We are thrilled to have her as part of our team!
























Lela Blount is an accomplished registered nurse and nursing instructor with a specialty focus in long-term care, clinical documentation, and healthcare education. Currently serving as a Nurse Consultant, she brings over 13 years of nursing experience that blends direct patient care, administrative insight, and academic leadership.




Lela holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Winston-Salem State University. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, with a concentration in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care. She is also certified as an American Heart Association BLS Instructor and has taught at the pre-licensure level, where she is passionate about equipping future nurses with the skills and confidence to succeed in the field.


Her core strengths include patient advocacy, chronic disease management, documentation quality, and student mentorship. Lela also serves as a member of the nursing teams for the Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star (PHA) and Daughters of Imperial (DOI), where she supports community health and wellness initiatives.


Guided by a belief in equitable, evidence-based care, Lela is committed to empowering both patients and future nurses with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive.
